Sometimes unexpected things happen that send you into a brief skid in the fast lane. A short shot of adrenaline. Then come the emotions — anger, grief, a rollercoaster of feelings.
In moments like these, the inner critic gets especially loud. It doesn’t feel good at all….
In moments like these, I’m especially grateful — to all those who, over the years, taught me and gave me the tools and techniques that, combined with the knowledge I gained, make things like emotional regulation possible. I’m also grateful to everyone who reached out a hand to me in what felt like dark times, and in doing so strengthened my basic trust — to this day.
Moments in which…
…it’s not about success or money, but about humanity and love,
…someone conjures a smile onto your face with a short voice message on WhatsApp, as if they’d sensed you needed it right then,
…someone simply listens when you need an ear,
…someone hugs you, because even without words, they’re simply there for you.
My heartfelt thanks go to my (former) professors and doctoral advisors, my coaches and mentors, cooperation partners, sponsors, and members of the DTC community, my MasterMind ladies, close friends and acquaintances, as well as my family (I’ll refrain from naming names, since I know not everyone is comfortable with that and I don’t want to make distinctions — I trust it will land where it’s meant to).
For weeks and months now, it’s been becoming clear to me that big changes are coming, and that another major knot will come undone starting in April 2022, while pieces of the puzzle prepared in the background fall into place step by step.
These changes are now not only underway — many of you are each contributing your own valuable part to them in different ways. Inspired by this, a few days ago I chose the following quote as the title for DTC room #450:
“The secret to Living is Giving” – Tony Robbins
While we reflected together on the meaning of the quote, I also shared the idea of inviting community members as guests to the DTC Daily starting in May, giving them the chance — beyond regular participation — to help shape our reflection space hand in hand. The response was overwhelming. Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be having conversations to find dates and coordinate topics. I’m incredibly excited about it and can’t wait to see which direction the DTC develops in next…
Missed room #450, but would still like to get involved and support the DTC with your own personal contribution? Then feel free to send me a message and let’s find a way together — I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
And if you’re in a position to support the DTC financially as well (without putting yourself in a tight spot), you’re very welcome to order a DTC cap, of course:
👆 Deep Talk Cap
That helps me cover ongoing costs and create more great surprises for the community.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏
Yours, Yasemin
