Have you ever thought about how past and current leisure activities like sports, art & culture influence your life & business? How they’ve shaped your personality and molded you into who you are today and how you do what you do?

We picked up this topic last week in the Deep Talk Club on Clubhouse and reflected on it together. The exchange was so overwhelming that there was even a follow-up the next day, to keep philosophizing about it and gain more valuable insights.

What none of us expected? We were even emotionally moved at times. Why? Because the memories, the roots that shape us, often run far deeper than we’re even aware of…

Use this impulse to reflect on it yourself:

How was it for you? What activities did you pursue? Was there parental pressure, or could you decide freely? How did it feel for you? Which elements do you still use today when it comes to private and business relationships? What do they help you with? In what aspects of your life are they sometimes a hindrance too?

What current activities are shaping and molding you today and for the future?

Be deliberate about how you shape your time, and make adjustments where needed. Because change is so much more fun when you shape it proactively. Remember: Pioneering Spirit – you state the direction of the change!

Be there live when we reflect on topics like this every day on Clubhouse, and feel free to jump in actively too. Here’s the link to the Deep Talk Club on Clubhouse.

3 Myths Debunked – When Science Creates Knowledge! | Dr Yasemin Yazan

When Science Creates Knowledge!

Unfortunately, there is a lot of false knowledge on the market. Be it because, for example, research results are misinterpreted or false causalities are made, or because they are transferred to other contexts that were not even the subject of the study.

We pick 3 myths and show what science already knows:

- Why Maslow's hierarchy of needs is not a reliable basis for motivation

- Why personality tests are questionable as a basis for personnel decisions

- Why a quota is needed as an effective measure against Unconscious Bias
